The Base

St. George Days in the Youth Courtyard.

During the Saint George Days festival weekend, from May 1–3, THE BASE came to life once again in the courtyard of the former Cigarette Factory, organized by the Sepsi Metropolitan Area Youth Office and SIFF – Sfântu Gheorghe Youth Forum. 

The program featured daytime lectures, workshops, and interactive activities, while the evenings were dedicated to music and entertainment. The daytime atmosphere was powered by the Mikes Radio and Mikó Radio teams, while in the evenings local young DJs and bands took over the stage. 

 One of the key features of The Base was that it was not only designed for young people, but created together with them. Student organizations from local high schools were involved from the planning phase, actively contributing ideas and participating in the implementation of the programs. 

Over the three days, a total of eight workshops and seven professional presentations took place, and five permanent programs were also available. In the evening program, five local bands and eight local DJs performed.
