Care Clock Program

Service to enhance the sense of safety of the elderly.

The Care Clock Program is a unique national-level initiative aimed at increasing the sense of security of older adults and ensuring fast assistance in emergency situations. The program is implemented in partnership between the Municipality of Sfântu Gheorghe and the Diakónia Christian Foundation. 

The goal of the Sepsi Metropolitan Area is to extend this initiative to all its member localities, so that the system supporting the safety of older people can become widely accessible. 

The Care Clock is a smart device–based social service, combining a wearable device with a continuously operating emergency alert system. The device is equipped with an emergency button, a fall detection sensor, and GPS-based location tracking. Thanks to its water- and shock-resistant design, it can be safely used in everyday life. 

In case of need, a single press of a button connects the user to a 24-hour dispatch center, where trained operators receive the alert and, if necessary, notify family members, emergency medical services, or the relevant authorities.
